Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third-party sign-in providers.

Account & sign-in information

When you create an account or sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account — your name, email address, and profile photo — so we can create and secure your Aurel account. We do not receive your Google password.

Usage & device data

We automatically collect information about how you use the Service and the device you use it on, including app version, device model and operating system, general location (derived from IP address), language settings, and interaction data such as which broadcasts and segments you play, skip, or save. On Android, this includes information needed to support Android Auto integration (e.g. connection state with your vehicle's head unit).

Analytics

We use analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics) to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service. These tools may collect device identifiers, app interaction events, and approximate location.

Crash & diagnostic data

We use crash-reporting tools (such as Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry) to automatically capture technical information when the app crashes or errors — including device model, OS version, app logs, and stack traces — so we can fix bugs.

Push notification tokens

If you enable notifications, we receive a device push token (issued by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications to your device. We do not use this token to identify you beyond your Aurel account.

2. How we use information

• To provide the Service. Creating your account, generating and delivering your broadcasts, and supporting car integrations like Android Auto and CarPlay.
• To maintain and improve the Service. Diagnosing crashes, understanding which features are used, and prioritizing what we build next.
• To communicate with you. Service updates, security notices, and — only if you opt in — product announcements.
• To keep the Service safe. Detecting abuse, enforcing our Terms of Use, and protecting the integrity of the Service.
• To comply with the law. Meeting legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

3. Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following categories of third parties, and only as needed to operate the Service:

• Google — for Google Sign-In authentication and, on Android, Android Auto integration.
• Analytics & crash-reporting providers — to help us understand usage and fix bugs, as described above.
• Cloudflare — our hosting and content-delivery provider for aurel.fm.
• Infrastructure & broadcast-generation providers — cloud and AI service providers we use to generate and deliver your broadcasts.
• Legal & safety — where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of GUEDIA, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — if GUEDIA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Data retention & deletion

We retain account and usage information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You can revoke Aurel's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. You can request deletion of your Aurel account and associated data at any time by contacting us at legal@aurel.fm; we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at legal@aurel.fm and we will delete it.

6. International transfers

GUEDIA is based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

7. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@aurel.fm. You can also manage notification and connector permissions directly from the Aurel app's settings.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means before the change takes effect. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision.
