Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. The Service

Aurel turns the internet you follow into a personalized, on-demand audio broadcast, narrated by two AI anchors, with every claim credited to its source. The Service is available on iOS and Android, and supports in-car playback via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Features, sources, and language support (currently English and French) may change or expand over time.

3. Accounts & Google Sign-In

Some features require an account. You can create one using Google Sign-In. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account, and for keeping the information associated with it accurate.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Aurel may offer free and paid subscription plans. Where paid plans are offered:

• Billing cycles. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly or annually) as disclosed at the time of purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings (or in-app, where available). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
• Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where the applicable app store's refund policy applies (purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to their respective refund policies).
• Price changes. We may change subscription pricing with advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
• Free trials. If we offer a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled before it ends.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems;
• Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or redistribute broadcasts generated by the Service without our permission.

6. Content & third-party sources

Aurel generates broadcasts from third-party sources (such as news outlets, forums, and other publicly available content) and credits each claim to its origin. We do not independently verify the accuracy of third-party source material, and broadcasts — including AI-generated commentary — are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. Aurel is not a substitute for direct reporting or professional advice.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, anchors, audio synthesis, and branding, is owned by GUEDIA or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google Sign-In and, on Android, Android Auto. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably practicable.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
